Dress That Mama

DSC_0005DSC_0008Andrew so kindly snapped these photos of me last week before I headed out the door to run some errands, which included dropping some fragrant lilacs off for a friend who wasn’t feeling well (and who has a habit of surprising me at random times with flowers… such a wonderful surprise!).

It was a very, very bright and sunny day and seasonably cool for May. That morning was so chilly that a long-sleeved dress was the most comfortable option, and one that I was delighted to partake in since I’ve been dying to wear this Mr. Larkin dress. The brand is a high-quality Copenhagen-based label, the fabric knitted in Denmark and the style based on “the simplistic lines of Scandinavian design.” The dress is a comfortable decent weight, has a higher neckline, is super soft, and is fitted in the sleeves but nice and loose-fitting everywhere else. It drapes really nicely. I can’t say enough about the quality of this piece… oh, and it has pockets. Perfection!

Also, I think it’s the perfect thing to wear with my lightening bolt necklace!

P.s. — It also comes in blue!
