Ah! I love that Blake Mills song! It’s been on my rotation for the past few weeks ever since I read about him in the Times! Awesome to see him on here 🙂 Those lyrics just slay me.
Another pair of songs with awesome lyrics?
Tom Waits “Hold on”. One of the best lyrics of all time: “Well, go ahead and call the cops. You don’t meet nice girls in coffee shops”. But, I mean, the whole thing, complete with whiskey-soaked voice is just a gem.
and Motopony “Wait for me”. Sample “A girl who doesn’t come along. Cuz she’s already where I’m goin’.”

Really like Blake Mills and this song – good choice. I’m considering getting me a “tuh-too” of one of my favorite lyrics of his.
