Weekend Shenanigans

DSC_0012

Here we are, on the cusp of something I imagine will turn into spring- waking up to an earlier light, only to freeze walking out into the cold morning air, afternoons warm enough to go without a jacket (but only in the sun), piles of snow still in places around us. I walk in a daze, stunned by what feels like a lifetime of winter, going through the motions of yard work even though the ground under the raked leaves remains frozen to the core, un-rakable. DSC_0020

DSC_0015This weekend held the joy that is unique to early spring- the jolt of energy and frenzy we feel when we shake away the dust of winter, ready to take on piles of work and preparations for a garden we hope will be even better than last year. Happy March, everyone.

  1. It really is just time for spring. I don’t feel it at all here, but this can’t go on forever! They’re all adorable, and we need this ski jammies on Milo… where are they from?
