The boys are out of school until the second week of January, and just like the holidays should be, our days have been all about playing indoors, hanging out with good friends, and food… good food!

This past weekend we tied up loose ends and started to get ready for our big Christmas Eve bash. This included scrubbing down our outdoor table and chairs to bring inside before it started raining on Friday and didn’t stop for a good two days. Luckily we had a good warm day to get it all done before the skies opened up. Doing the preparations slowly and over the course of a few days rather than leaving it all until the day before has made it so much easier! Now for the cooking!

Above is a sample of what I’ve been wearing every Thursday evening to trapeze class! I am enjoying it more than I could have imagined, and man is it a good workout!

I’ll be taking a short blogging break to wind down and enjoy this week of celebration with our friends and my favorite 4 guys in the whole wide world… but I’ll see you back here soon. I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

  1. Looks very festive over there! Hope you guys have a fun party. James has to work all but Christmas Day plus we’re sqeazing in family, so I’m envious of your restful pace- enjoy it!

P.s. You know I’ve never actually seen Kinfolk! Obviously I’m familiar with the aesthetic, is it as wonderful as the buzz?

  2. Oh, yeah! I think I need to do one more post including our holiday card outtakes before this blogging break!

And yes, Lilly, Kinfolk is really a beautiful production. A friend gave me this book for Christmas, and I have loved looking through it so far. It has beautiful pictures, stories of some pretty incredible people, and recipes I can’t wait to try! On Christmas day after all the madness (and little boys are preoccupied with new toys) I plan to curl up with it and a cup of coffee by the fire for some good reading (and inspiration)! Happy Holidays to you too!

  3. Ah, love all the happy festivities going on over there! I can’t believe you’re taking trapeze class you brave lady! But seriously, if I had legs like yours I would wear those shorts every day.

Thank you for including us on your Christmas card list!! The Knight family card is by far the cutest, funniest, most clever of all the ones on the fridge!

Have a wonderful holiday break with your darling fam.

  4. Merry Christmas! We loved your card! We are getting pictures this Friday (to include our little guy), so ours are going to be a little late. We hope you all enjoy your celebrations.

  5. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! And trapeze class? Amazing! And so very cool!

p.s. I love the style of your front door. Just something about it!
