A newly nervous Milo before the show!
I mentioned a while back that Milo has been taking circus classes with Circus Harmony at the City Museum. He has loved every minute of it, and after taking a special interest in trapeze, he and his buddy Eliza paired off to spend extra time on it. This past weekend, we were thrilled to see all they’ve been up to during the circus culmination show.
For weeks he had been talking about the show, and even raced up the stairs to his classroom on the day of the show, but once he entered and got changed, he definitely clammed up for a few minutes. I don’t blame him! But after a pep talk and a bit of a nudge, he joined his peers for the run-through and the next time I saw him his was glowing with pride out there under the hot lights!
He and the rest of them did great, and needless to say, he begged us to let him continue on in January!
If you want to watch the whole 3-minute routine on video, check it out here. They are a couple of pretty amazing 6-year-olds if you ask me! Have a wonderful day!
This was really great! I can see why Milo wants to continue circus class. I’m sure he really loves the challenge of performing, the music and the applause! It’s so good that he and his friend can do this together – it’s magical. What a confidence builder. This was such a wonderful idea to have him experience this. Congratulations, Milo! You were spectacular!
Love, Grandma
Holy Cow! That is amazing, what self control and discipline! He should be so proud.
That is so cool! And what a great class. I love the stuff kids get interested in.
I love it! These are the sort of things that I hate Gus misses out on living in such a rural setting. You guys just have to come visit and Milo can teach Gus some tricks! Also- watched the video and it was so good. Tell him I’m impressed. xo
They look so confident up there! How cool! Thanks for sharing the video, too. I wish we had a fun class like that – my daughter would LOVE it. ๐
How cool is that?! I’m so impressed and I bet he feels incredibly pleased with himself, as well he should. Such a great program.
Wow!!! Fantastic! Makes me smile.
How adorable is that??! What stars! Thanks for sharing.
Oh my soul! This is beyond precious. Beyond.
oh this brings back memories! i used to do circus when i was a kid and i loved it!
And Liam wishes to know, “when is the part where he shoots out of the cannon?”
Get on with your bad self, Milo. Way to go!
Wow ! That is impressive! I loved it.
Oh my gosh, seeing Milo up there on a TRAPEZE?! So cool! And adorable (but don’t tell him that.) ๐ What a great class and cool thing for him to be a part of!
