Late this past summer, when it was a million degrees outside, we came up with the Busy Buzzy Bee game. It is so simple, and so much fun! Milo blew up a giant yellow balloon as large as he could, then asked me to draw a bumble bee face on it.
Without tying a knot in the balloon, he had me hold it and let go. Then, the “bee” chased the boys around our living room trying to “sting” them. If the balloon touched someone, that person was “stung,” and had to sit and watch until the other two were out. As you can imagine, there was much laughter, squeals, and giggles.
We even got another balloon (red this time) out to complicate the game. Milo chanted, “Busy buzzy busy bee, do not let it sting me!” Before I would let go of the balloons.
You have the best ideas! I need to start writing them down and pull them out when the snow comes, which is supposed to be this weekend. Ahhh!
This looks like a fantastic time. Did your boys get tired out from blowing up those balloons? I’m guessing this is THE game for releasing extra energy.
Ha, yes, Sara! They were quite winded, but we took turns blowing up the balloons!
Cute idea!! I love the little games you come up with for the boys.
