Milo is smitten. Lovely cousin Jada and her uber-talented surfer/musician husband Jason visited us for the weekend, leaving us feeling all warm and fuzzy… and a little nostalgic and lonely for family. We talked of aging (mainly everyone else’s and not much of our own), family (to have… not to have…), and career. We carved pumpkins in the glow of four candles at Milo’s insistance. We each tried our hand at baby-quieting techniques, and watched as Milo discovered how to build his own obstacle course, complete with jumps and lessons on friction. Can’t think of a better way to spend an unseasonably cold, rainy weekend.
And should you ever decide to become parents, you will be fantastic.
How nice to see Jada and Jason. It has been 18 months since we have seen them. They were so nice to have dinner with us in NC, and hang out with us. The girls still have the matching pink beach hats they brought. Then we woke Jada up at 6am to drive up from Wilmington to watch the girls when I went into labor. Absolutely the best!
