Happy (?) Friday

DSC_0002

I have been in such a funk for the past couple of days… and there’s absolutely no good reason for it. Despite everything good in my life (I even started to exercise again! long overdue), I just can’t seem to lighten up and have fun. Every little thing feels like a disaster, and I feel constantly on the verge of tears or yelling. Ugh.

Andrew and I are hoping to buy a car this weekend (wish us luck!), and we have dinner plans with friends on Saturday night. I have to shake these nasties before Andrew goes out of town again! But I’m trying to keep perspective. Everybody has bad days. There will be good ones coming, I just have to make that happen. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

  1. We do all have these days!! I think that motherhood paired with 30-something hormones can be a perfect storm for those days. I wish you well, and I hope the funk clears in time for a wonderful weekend.

  2. While I hate feeling like that, too, I try to take that funk as a sign that I need something. Time to myself, time with my husband or just something outside of my normal routine will often do the trick.
Here’s hoping your day surprises you with something good!

  3. You’re not alone! I’m blaming the heat, but geez i’ve been shouty the past couple days…here’s hoping for some relief (and maybe a new car?) this weekend!

  4. The heat and humidity is oppressive. Maybe some stress will go once you find a new car, then…road trip…if you dare? Change of routine and scenery works for me.

  5. You should know you looked divine in the white dress from the other day. Just gorgeous!

And I know that feeling, and I know it will pass. Wondering with the new activity in your life if you have added some good calories for extra strength? I tend to eat too much, so it is a non issue with my workouts. Hahah!
((hugs)) and may the sun shine in your heart quickly.

  6. Hang in there! I can totally relate right now with temperatures soaring above 100 on the east coast, I have been a huge crab… 🙁 I agree with the others…do something for you! 🙂 Miss you!
