Screw the rules… the best ones are at the top
Hartland Orchard (an hour and a half from DC near the Shenandoah Valley in the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA) was the adventure of this weekend and supplied us with apples, pumpkins, apple-butter, and good ‘ol commercial-free farm fun. And, had the weather been a bit less damp, we would have taken Milo on his first hay ride… next year for sure. We had a great time and brought home 102 lbs of apples. Yum!
Also in the vicinity were several vineyards that we wanted to buy some local wine from. We chose Don’t Bring Your Children Within a Hundred Yards of Our Property Vineyard, also known as We Suck Vineyard, and commonly referred to by the locals as We Have Our Noses Up Our Own Assholes But We Can Still Smell Young Flesh Vineyard. They escorted us out. I kind of wish I had made a scene, just for fun.
The view from the parking lot where we let Milo pee on some grapes. Just kidding… or am I?
You shouldve had Milo do more than just pee on their grapes.
Knight brothers… like Ryan climbing to the top of a tree for a coconut. The best ones are always at the top!
I can not believe that they escorted you out! Isn’t money…well, money? You should have taken off Oliver’s diaper and held him over the grapes too! I am glad that you guys had a successful apple picking day though…we did the same thing on Saturday and had a blast! Ahh Fall!
Wow. Their grapes deserve your wrath! I can’t understand why people don’t appreciate children. At the least, you have to be grateful that they will be paying your social security payments!
