Country Bum-kin Part II

Yesterday we made the trip to Butler’s Orchard in Germantown, MD with friends Cat and Garriy to enjoy some autumn festival activities. The weather has cooled down, so it finally feels like fall here. Milo greeted Garriy and Cat at the door (the nice pictures are courtesy of Garriy)…

…before showing off his rad sunglasses sans frames

The festival was a blast… corny and typical, which is exactly what we were looking for. Although we didn’t get to go apple-picking (they were out of apples, believe it or not), we did get to eat plenty of food, including open-pit meats, candied apples, and kettle-corn.
Enjoying some festival food, especially Milo’s first taste of a french fry
Nothing like a big wheel for a mullet
Interested in Garriy’s camera
The slide with Dad
Concerned about the fate of these chickens
Lost in the mini-maze
Milo’s version of dancing (more like squat-thrusts, but much cuter)

Having a juice box before the long trip home

We had a great day playing and enjoying the company and weather. Unfortunately for Cat and Garriy, an exhausted Milo gave us all quite an earful on the way home. Poor little guy. I mean, poor Cat and Garriy! Thanks, guys! We had a blast.

  1. That squat-thrust picture reminds me of myself when I would squat/poop in my diaper in the corner and you would tell on me. Thanks a lot, Narc.

  2. LOVE the pictures! Lauren, you look BEAUTIFUL! I think you should by a giant tractor for Milo. If the neighbors say anything, you can always say it’s agri-art!
