Happy June 1st! I took these pictures of our garden earlier this week, so they are still technically “May Garden!” I am amazed by how much everything has grown- particularly the chard and the raspberries. Oh, and the broccoli! I’m not sure it we will do broccoli again next year because it takes up so much space and takes so long for one single head to grow. I never knew how much energy a plant put into growing that one head of broccoli, but now I appreciate it more every time I see these guys in the grocery store:
This old watering can had a leak in the bottom, so instead of throwing it out, we made it into a hanging planter! I fear our garden and yard are straddling a fine line between charming and hillbilly.
Hope you have a beautiful weekend!
Looks great! We just picked our first stuff today- just some radishes and lettuce but should be a good salad. I love your watering can planter, so clever.
That chard looks amazing! And the planter is way charming. I think “charming hillbilly” should be a new thing, kind of like shabby chic.
No, it is definitely just charming! Your garden looks amazing, especially the broccoli!
