Milo was on spring break this week, so we made the most of it and kept busy, busy, busy. Seriously, these kids kicked my a*%! Like, physically beat, fall into bed at the end of the day, marathon-running exhausted. We had so much fun! The best part was watching Milo and Oliver pretend-play and laugh, laugh, laugh. Those two have become the best of friends.
What are your plans for this weekend? If the weather holds up, we have some gardening and yard work to do. Plus, I made a new friend and she is bringing her kids over later today. It’s like a first date. I’m a little nervous, so wish me luck! Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
Good luck on your mom-date! I’ve been branching out too and meeting new friends, and I am always thankful when they turn out to be nice people and not serial killers.
Our weekend plans involve shuffling stuff around in our house. Right now, we have a room that’s a dedicated music studio, and half of the finished basement that is our playroom is being used as a craft room. But it’s too cluttered looking, so we’re swapping the location of the music stuff and the craft stuff in an effort to make ourselves look less hoarder-ey. We also converted Audrey’s crib into a toddler bed, so that should be loads of fun while we bargain with her to stay in her big girl bed tonight.
Love the laundry pile- if I could afford one luxury it would be to have a housekeeper do all our laundry 🙂 So funny how as we get older meeting new friends does become like dating and us nervous-making. It wasn’t like that in school. Good luck!
Our weekend tasks haven’t really gotten accomplished but it’s been a good one anyway…
Love all of these photos, Mama! Especially #6 (I think) from the top. And oh man, the LAUNDRY. I feel like we never get ahead in that department, no matter how many midnight loads I do. Nice to read about the boys being buddies (laugh-laugh-laugh); it’s what I imagine in a sibling relationship for Kaspar (for now I pretend nonsensical hilarity is, well, hilarity at its best), but– alas– not ready for round two. Not yet. Btw, spring break kicked my ass in a serious way up in here, too… and I’ve just got the one kiddo running me hard!
wow, it really looks like a fun week!!! I hope the “1st date” went well 🙂 Where were the white pelicans?! They’re so pretty.
