Emil, 6 Months

DSC_0032

It is beyond me how this young buck is already half a year old, but I’m diggin’ it. He is becoming quite the character.

So far, Emil wins the award for Most Difficult Baby to Hold on Your Lap, followed by the prestigious Most Likely to be Dropped Award, which is also known as the Squirmiest Human Being Honor. He would like to thank his mother and father for not dropping him on the floor yet. Oh, and for allowing him to stand constantly on their laps so that he can practice being all he can be. He strives for greatness, people. Greatness.

And no, he cannot be bothered to sit up on his own yet. He would prefer to skip that stage citing that “sitting is for cowards and lazy people” and he is neither of these.

His oldest brother calls him “Fuzzy Head,” which he feels is a bit demeaning, but prefers it to “Pumpkin Pie Head,” and anyway the oldest has bestowed that nickname onto the middle brother.

If you haven’t gathered from the previous post about Emil and food, he still prefers his milkie to all other forms of nourishment, and will look at you with scorn and contempt if you so much as SUGGEST he take such nourishment from these things you call “bottles.”

Stuff he is good at: nursing. Pooping. Rolling over and over and over until he is on the other side of the room. Jumping in his doorway jumper. Yanking out fistfuls of hair. Pinching. Laughing. Scratching. Blowing spit bubbles and making fart noises. Being ridiculously adorable. High-pitched shrieks. Partying all night long.

Watch out, world. Emil is 6 months.

  1. That first picture is crazy cute. 6 months does feel like such a milestone- they really start to become more little people. I miss it with all those big smiles and any fussiness is still just about discomfort… instead of sassy attitude- but that might just be Wyatt 🙂 Happy 6 mo Emil!

  2. Happy 6 months to adorable Emil!! I CAN’T BELIEVE it’s been 6 months. I was just thinking that about my best friend’s son (Oliver) this morning. Time flies!

  3. Happy Six Months Old to the smallest of the ‘Crumb Bums’!!! It’s always nice to have just one more to wreak havoc for Momma and Pappa. Keeps everyone mentally alert and physically fit! Love you!

  4. That first pic is SO ridiculously cute!!! My little one was a world’s squirmiest baby too, even now at 4 she still can’t seem to sit still 🙂

  5. He is so handsome in that little denim shirt with his Sophie. Does he love it as much as everyone says babies love Sophie? A friend gave me one… patiently waiting for my little wee-one to arrive to find out (3 weeks and counting…….)

  6. I think we should meet and put my baby and your baby together at night, and let them party…while we get some sleep! He is adorable….I know that is why my baby is still waking me up at night.
