Today is our first “Dress That Prof” post! We will designate Wednesdays for this from now on… so look for more of this stud muffin professor’s style coming up! I am super excited that Andrew is on board with this. His rules were simple: I may dress him for his classes as long as he does not have to try on several outfits the night before. Or do anything other than shower and (possibly) shave that morning. So there you have it! Let’s dress that prof!
GAH! You guys are so adorable. We kinda do the same thing, although we’re in grad school and teaching in different cities (ugh!) so there’s a lot of long-distance WEAR YOUR TWEED JACKET TOMORROW! going on over da phone.
I wish I could figure out how to wolf whistle in comment form! x
Can you show us what type of underwear this guy is wearing too? Is it purple bikini briefs?
Can we get back to the simpler days of Andrew wearing khaki shorts and a Hawaiian shirt, unbottoned to his navel? You’ve got the dude dressed up in mini-skinny jeans. The world doesn’t make sense to me anymore.
Can you do a second post of Andrew dressed naturally as more of a semi-hillbilly?
Kristin wants to know why Andrew is wearing Ava’s jeans.
I just want to know how you are going to make a series out of this. I mean 2 more posts and this is done because he’s done teaching for the year. Next year when he doubles his work load you can get him in 6 different outfits.
What fun!
My husband would never agree to those jeans. Or possibly that jacket.
His work attire is jeans – bootcut – dark but never any on-purpose distressed – and a button up shirt – plaid/checks required, flannel optional.
And he’s a civil engineer. I can’t believe he gets by with such a casual “uniform”, but it suits him well!
What a handsome little family you have!
Ha, ha! You guys crack me up! “Rick P.”- I suppose we could do some old-school hillbilly style, but I think the University would find a way to fire him if he showed up to teach in a Hawaiian shirt unbuttoned to his naval.
To “Joe,” they are technically called “slim fit” jeans, and to be fair, it is first day of wearing them EVER, so they will stretch a bit.
But thanks for all your positive support. I guess that’s what brothers are for, eh?
Andrew looks dashing!!! A job well done Lauren! And WOW I see Milo in that first pic! Greta saw the pic and said, “Daddy!!!!!” Followed with “Daddy Cuuuute!” Didn’t Oliver have this “daddy” response to a picture of Jamie once?
I don’t know what Rick and Joe are talking about. Andrew looks nice…I’m just glad to see him in something other than his “soup kitchen” shoes. Are there elbow patches on that jacket?
I wish my husband was a professor so I could dress him up in spiffy outfits like that!
Alas, he is a welder and is always very, VERY dressed down each morning …
Awesome look! Nice work guys!
Love it! I don’t think Dave could wear jeans on a teaching day, and I know he would never wear “slim-fit” jeans. I did talk him into a purple button-down shirt that he wears all the time, which is a pretty big victory for me.
Great start! To do it justice for us to keep following, need some color added to the write up about style of close, new, old, brands, etc. You make it, buy it, dig it out of a trash can, grow it in your garden, etc. LOL
Oh this is too cute! He looks so stylish- I wish my husband would dress like this for work. He’s an architect and just wears ill fitting jeans and dress shirts. This is so much fun.
OH MY GOSH – I LOVVVVVVVVVVVVE the new header and the new look of the whole blog!! This is so exciting! Awesome work, Lauren!
Mark, great idea! Will do! I am slightly embarrassed at how many items come from JCrew… but next Dress That Prof post will include some more “color.” Thanks!
I love this series! My husband is a prof too although since he’s a scientist at a medical school he only teaches one semester a year. I would love to see if he’d play along with the dressing up part at least. Not sure I could convince him to go for the blog posting part!
Is this the linen herringbone vest from jcrew? I’m looking to buy a charcoal or brown for a wedding party im in very soon and its recently sold out. I’m obviously willing to pay for it any help would be great appreciated!! Thanks.
