Our garden is finally thriving. After a month of constant rain and not much sunshine, our plants were not so happy. We had to completely start over with the basil, and the cilantro went to seed without providing much greenery (which stinks because we eat a lot of cilantro). But the rest of it now seems happy. Spinach season is over until fall, but we did get a lot out of that small crop.
What we have TONS of? Peppers. We have banana and jalapeno peppers coming out of our ears (this picture was taken a week ago and the plants are now FULL of peppers). Now I ask… what to do with them all? My horrible acid reflux prevents me from enjoying them, but maybe some salsa for the neighborhood? Gazpacho? What do you think?
We also have more cucumbers than we know what to do with (another reason to make gazpacho), but our squash and eggplant have failed to deliver. Maybe they need more time to grow. And you can’t tell from this picture, but our tomato plants are now nearly as tall as me! If only we could get the squirrels to stop thieving the green ones, we’ll be set!
Two more “things” that grow
And grow…
… and grow.
Happy Wednesday and happy gardening!
Just a fine example of two ‘vegie-eatin’ kids! Such cuties!
They have gotten big! So cute though and I love Milo’s shirt x
WOW I am impressed!!! Beautiful garden, I would love the peppers and the cilantro. Well done, Knights!!!
