Okay, it must be the week for babies!
Welcome Casey Joel Knight, Milo’s first male cousin on the Knight side. I have no pictures, as he was just born a few hours ago… but I do know his stats!
Almost born into a toilet, Baby Casey was born to the amazing Kristin Knight, wife of Ryan (Andrew’s brother) and mother to the infamous Lizzy and Ava. Casey weighed a whopping 6lbs, 9oz, and is a mere 18 inches long! A little guy, sure to get smooshed by Milo at the first possible opportunity. Of course, that doesn’t say much, considering Milo weighs one pound more than his 16-month-old cousin Reina. We are so excited that Milo now has two boy cousins only 7 months younger than him. This will make family reunions a lot of fun- not that they aren’t already, but poor Milo was outnumbered on the Knight side 3 to 1.
Congratulations to Ryan and Kristin! We can’t wait to meet Baby Casey!
Welcome Baby Jack!
Milo has a new cousin!!! Jack Drew Teemer III was born yesterday around 4:30pm, weighing in at 8 lbs 7 oz. and measuring a nice 21 inches. He is a spitting image of his father, in my opinion.
I can’t believe my little brother is a daddy!
Looks like a little birdie is going to come poop on his lip (family joke about my brother pouting). Milo can’t wait to terrorize you, Baby Jack!
Busybody
Since Milo began sitting up on his own, he has become busy, busy, busy. He seems to concentrate so hard on each task that he can barely be bothered to look up, especially not for a photo. I find it all so endearing, especially noticing how he understands cause and effect so well now.
Today was one busy day for one busy boy.

What’s that saying about the apple and the tree?
Milkboarding
This video says it all.
I fear I will be breastfeeding for the next 5 years.
Ready, Set… SLEEP!
Why the suspicious look?
Might it have to do with the “finally getting your own room” concept?
My little Milo is growing up! He slept in his own room last night for the very first time… and he slept for 8 hours in a row! YAY! Then, he woke up at 4am for a little snack and went back to sleep until 7am. Yes, that is 11 hours. I am so, so happy. I thought we were going to pay for keeping him in our room for so long, and that we were in for a little adjustment period or something. But I guess he was ready. And now he is taking a two-hour nap in his crib, in HIS room. Ah, the luxury.
Now for the food…
Just kidding. It’s all breastmilk for this guy… but we are trying! Sweet potatoes all over the floor in the dining room as I write this. It did not go well.
Today we had Milo’s 7-month check-up. He is still high percentile-wise all around, but no longer off the charts with weight. He is tall for his age, we are told. Go figure. Two shorties like Andrew and I have tall offspring. He might slow down, though, as he did with weight. But none of the technicians, nurses, or the pediatrician could believe he is as big as he is without eating any solids. My buddy sure loves his milkie.
More baby steps!
