I was one lucky mama this weekend; I got to spend the whole weekend with my littlest man Emil while Andrew took Oliver and Milo to North Carolina to see their cousins. Of course I missed the big boys and Andrew, but it was the first time I have had Emil to myself for this long, and we really lived it up! He was so chatty the whole weekend, having the full attention of an adult. Let me tell you, he is one quirky little guy… some of the things he says just cracks me up!
We very much enjoyed St. Louis together. From the Tower Grove Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning to the City Garden on Sunday with Kim and her boys, to the zoo and even the swimming pool. I forgot what it was like to only be responsible for one kid- such a piece of cake, ha! I did also make time on Saturday night to get a sitter for Emil while I went out to dinner with my good friend Elisha… and that surely was the frosting on the cake. Whew, what fun she is!Emil was really missing his brothers and his papa… and frankly, so was I. By Sunday evening he was getting pretty sad. I’m so glad to pick them up at the airport this morning and hear all about their adventures! And… here we are in June! How did that happen???
Happy Monday!
How nice to get some one on one time in. We’re about to go from one to two kiddos & I’ve wondered a little bit about one on one time with each child & how that will shake out.
Looks like the two of you had a nice/fun time. 🙂
So much fun! Your Emil is such a doll. I love spending one on one time with the kiddos- you’re right- piece of cake!
