Dress That Prof: A Non-Teaching Day

DSC_0022

It wasn’t the traditional photo day when I nabbed this shot, but I had to cajole Andrew into letting me take his picture because he just looked so gosh-darn cute, don’t you think? This guy…

If he’s looking quite svelte lately, it’s because Andrew has been running… a lot. Last week he clocked 64 miles and he didn’t even run every day. The Philadelphia marathon is right around the corner! I think he’s going to do great!

Henley: JCrew (on sale last season- find similar one here); Trousers: Ben Sherman (found in a local shop in The Loop– find similar here)

Boots: Timberland Boot Company- find similar style here (a Christmas present last year that has gotten tons of wear, and they have held up quite nicely to lots and lots of walking– which is more than I can say about my shoes!)

Happy Wednesday!

  1. So gosh-darn cute is right! I wish my husband would let me snap photos like this of him. He’ll tolerate one, maybe two photos and then he’s like “Okay. Enough!”

And P.S…. are you on Instagram? I can imagine your photos on there would be spectacular. : )

  2. I love the glasses! Don’t think I’ve seen those before and they’re very cool. I am sure he will do great at the marathon, I can’t even imagine running those kinds of distances- totally impressive.

  3. Best of luck to the hubs on his upcoming marathon. That’s a gorgeous course and hopefully the weather will be nice. My husband and I ran the half back in 2009 and had a blast.

  4. Holy monkeys, man. That’s a lot of running. And I was balking about having to run 2 miles. (Granted, 2 miles while being chased by zombies probably seems a lot longer, but still. It’s only 2 miles.)

This outfit is awesome. It’s kind of how Wade dresses every day at his professor job (it’s a film school, so I think nobody there cares about being formal ever) unless he has meetings with big mucky-mucks and then he has to get all fancy pants.
